SMYRNA – Council Member Gerry Short announced today that he will run for re-election to continue work on revitalizing downtown, expanding parks and recreation, improving transportation, and managing growth.
“I would like to continue the projects we have underway, such as the expansion of the wastewater treatment plant, completion of the widening of Jefferson Pike to SR-840, the second expansion of Cedar Stone Park, and the continued improvement of the Downtown Depot district,” .
SMYRNA – Longtime Smyrna resident and Vice Mayor Marc Adkins announced today that he will run for re-election to the Smyrna Town Council.
“I’ve enjoyed serving the citizens of Smyrna for the past 13 years; I grew up here; and I went to high school here,” said Adkins, who is Principal Managing Broker at Parks Realty in Smyrna.
“We have a lot of projects in the works, and I would like to see them through to fruition. I also want to continue to foster 55-plus housing .
