Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity dedicated three more homes in the newly established Legacy Pointe subdivision in Murfreesboro, the first of its kind in Tennessee. These were homes 170, 171 and 172 since the nonprofit affordable housing organization was founded locally in 1989.
“It has been a truly challenging year for all manner of reasons. … But the patience, the sweat, the tears, the engagement in Habitat has been remarkable for these three families,” said RCHFH Executive Director Terri Shultz at the dedication Thursday. “It is truly a blessing to see them grow as a community and that is what we wanted all along when we build houses. We want to build a sense of community.”
