JAMMU: Over 30 people have been reported missing after a cloudburst hit a remote village in Jammu and Kashmir s Kishtwar district early on Wednesday, officials said. The death toll has risen to 7. A total of 17 persons have been rescued so far.
Around nine houses have been damaged due to the cloudburst at Kishtwar s Honzar village, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Kumar Sharma, said. Rescue teams were rushed to Honzar village of Dacchan tehsil and an SDRF team has also been sent, officials said.
