Police were seen on Drexel Street last night and early this morning.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner s Office is still working to confirm the identity of the individual that was found.
The body s discovery in the 5500 block of Drexel is near where a woman was reported missing last February.

Police are working to identify a body found on the 5500 block of Drexel after it was discovered around 6 p.m. last night. The body was discovered in the same area a woman went missing last February.

“She renovated about 95%,” said Realtor Matt O’Laughlin. “It’s really beautiful design.”

Saucy Brew Works will be waiting a bit longer to open its Detroit location.
The Cleveland-based craft brewery and restaurant announced in a Wednesday, Feb. 24, email to its mailing list that it is unable to open its Detroit Brewpub + Coffeehouse due to unfortunate circumstances outside of our company. The brewery said it intends to announce an updated opening date sometime next week, however.
Saucy previously announced on Feb. 1 plans to open its Motor City location its first outside Ohio on March 3.
The 5,700-square-foot space is located in Michigan s Brush Park neighborhood and was slated to be the first restaurant to open in Bedrock s City Modern mixed-use community development there. Construction already had been delayed due to pandemic-related issues. Pre-pandemic plans called for the spot to open around fall 2020.

A long-discussed mixed-use residential development in Detroit would feature a 16-story tower rising 282 feet anchoring the $95 million vision for the site across from the Midtown neighborhood s Whole Foods Inc. store.
Those are among the specifics revealed in a 49-page document given to the Detroit Planning Commission in advance of a Feb. 4 hearing on a rezoning request for a 2.3-acre chunk of land that s part of a broader 7-acre swath known in development circles as the South of Mack Avenue, or SoMA, site.
