Saucy Brew Works opening first location in Detroit
Ohio-based Saucy Brew Works opens its first Detroit location on March 3 in Brush Park, according to a press release. Located in Bedrock’s City Modern development, the brewpub and coffeehouse will include indoor and outdoor seating as well as a “coffeehouse concept” called Saucy Coffee. In addition to offering German and American-style beers, the Detroit location will serve a menu of shared plates such as meatballs, roasted cauliflower, Bavarian pretzels, and thin crust pizza, including one pizza topped with Nashville-style hot chicken. The new 192-seat Saucy Brew Works will offer a variety of beers, specialty coffee drinks and food in its home in Bedrock s City Modern development in Detroit.
Saucy Brew Works, an Ohio-based chain that serves as part brewery, part coffeehouse, plans to open its first Michigan location in Detroit later this winter.
The company, established in 2017, is set to open the doors of its fourth location on March 3 after its original Dec. 4 opening date was pushed back by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 5,700-square-foot location at 2671 John R will be the first restaurant to open within the City Modern mixed-use community development in the city s Brush Park neighborhood, it said in a news release. Saucy Brew Works will provide a 20 percent discount to all City Modern residents, the release states.
