A long-discussed mixed-use residential development in Detroit would feature a 16-story tower rising 282 feet anchoring the $95 million vision for the site across from the Midtown neighborhood's Whole Foods Inc. store.
Those are among the specifics revealed in a 49-page document given to the Detroit Planning Commission in advance of a Feb. 4 hearing on a rezoning request for a 2.3-acre chunk of land that's part of a broader 7-acre swath known in development circles as the South of Mack Avenue, or SoMA, site.
