Subscriber only A stolen vehicle has been used in multiple burglaries in the South Burnett region before alleged thieves attempted to set it alight near Toogoolawah. Toogoolawah police officer in charge Sergeant John Cumner said the stolen vehicle, a dark blue Mitsubishi Triton, was dumped before an attempt was made to set it alight on Cressbrook-Caboonbah Road. Following the attempted torching, a 2019 silver Landcruiser was stolen from across the road, with the offender entering a property and taking the keys to steal the vehicle. A search warrant has uncovered an established cannabis grow room in the Somerset Region. On March 4, Toogoolawah police, with the assistance of an officer from Esk, searched a Toogoolawah property and uncovered 54 cannabis plants, along with other drug property. A 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested and charged with 10 offences, including production and supply of a dangerous drug. Esk police have welcomed a new officer to the station.
Officer in charge sergeant Karlene Trezie said senior constable Adrian Solah had joined the Esk station.
Senior constable Solah arriveed in Esk having worked at Ipswich station as well as previous country stations.
In addition to the constable’s arrival, a 22-year-old man from Leichhardt was issued a notice to appear by Toogoolawah Police after being detected driving in Cressbrook Street while Disqualified.
Strangulation in DVO
A 37-year-old male from Kingston was arrested by Esk and Toogoolawah police. He was charged with a strangulation in a domestic setting and an application was made for a domestic and family violence protection order.

A rural letterbox has been reported stolen from the front entrance to a property on the Brisbane Valley Hwy, Ottaba.
The mailbox was reported stolen to Toogoolawah police between February 4 and 5.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Toogoolawah Police on 5423 1200.
Drug driving
A 41-year-old man from Wamuran was offered and accepted the Drug Diversion Program after being located by Toogoolawah Police with dangerous drugs on Ivory Creek Rd. A police protection notice was also issued in relation to a previous incident.
Disturbances
A 20-year-old female from Toogoolawah was detained by Toogoolawah Police after a disturbance in Dingyarra St. The female was issued a notice to appear for contravening tat notice the next day on Ivory Creek Rd.
