DECC sees busiest week since start of pandemic Events this week include a free food giveaway, lots of hockey and both COVID-19 vaccination and testing sites. (Clint Austin / 2016 file / News Tribune) This week figures to be the busiest week since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic for the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, with a host of events. But the iconic event facility is not turning a complete corner, given remaining state health limits on the number of people who can attend. This restriction of 250 people maximum at each event continues to present a financial challenge for the DECC, but seeing the increase in the overall use of our space is welcome, interim Executive Director Roger Reinert said in a news release Monday.
