Picture used for representational purpose only GHAZIABAD: A 35-year old man returning home from his nursery was shot dead allegedly by three bike-borne assailants in the Dadri area of Greater Noida on Sunday night. Police suspect Dinesh Bhati, brother of local SP leader Mahesh Bhati, may have been killed over personal enmity . At least 18 criminal cases were registered against Dinesh, a resident of Luharli village, at various police stations in Gautam Budh Nagar. The alleged crime happened around 7pm when Dinesh was returning home. “Suddenly, the three assailants came on a bike and fired at him and fled towards the village. Locals told cops and immediately a team reached the spot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” said Vishal Pandey, additional DCP of Zone-3 in Greater Noida.

Sunder Bhati, 11 others get life in jail for murder | Noida News

Noida: In the first among some 55 cases lodged against him, gangster Sunder Bhati has been sentenced to life imprisonment, along with 11 of his accomplices, for the murder of SP leader Harendra Nagar and his gunner Bhudev Sharma in 2015. Dadupur village pradhan Harendra and his gunner were shot dead by Bhati and his men when they had gone to attend a wedding function in Niana village of Greater Noida on February 8, 2015. Apart from handing down the punishment to the 12 convicts on Monday, the court of additional sessions judge (fast track-1) Anil Kumar Singh also imposed a total fine of Rs 20.70 lakh on them and ordered that half of the amount be given to the family of the deceased gunner.

Representative image GREATER NOIDA: There was tension in Rithori village of Dadri after remains of five-six cows or their progeny were found strewn near a cremation ground on Wednesday. The pieces of flesh and bones were spotted by villagers around 8am. Dinesh Bhati, a villager, said a man, Balbir, had seen the animal remains first and informed the others. “Balbir was walking by the vacant plot near the cremation ground when he saw the animal remains behind tall grasses. Someone had tried to hide the pieces of flesh and bones behind the bushes along the road to the railway station. After Balbir informed the villagers, a crowd gathered there,” Bhati said.
