NOIDA: Two passersby suffered gunshot wounds after bullets were fired during a brawl between two groups in a road rage incident in Greater Noida’s Jewar. Two people have been detained so far. Police said two youths, Ankit and Lala, were travelling on a bike around 9pm on Sunday night. When they were near Minaz Masjid in Jewar’s Jahangirpura area, the duo lost balance and accused a pedestrian, Sarchand, of pushing them.
“Sarchand was walking on foot in the same direction as that of the two youths and he accidentally elbowed Ankit. Although Ankit did not suffer any major injury, an argument broke out between him and Sarchand and they exchanged abuses. Sarchand called some of his friends and relatives, who allegedly beat up Ankit. Later, Ankit also called his friends, following which there was a brawl,” a police officer said.
