Cheers for Charity, a new weekly open bar event from 6-7:30 p.m. Sundays at its Center Bar, will serve select complimentary cocktails while encouraging donations to support Bread & Broth, a nonprofit that is fighting hunger in South Tahoe. All donations will support Bread & Broth. Featuring top-of-the-line liquor vendors each week, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe welcomes cocktail connoisseurs to revel in premiere libations from notable brands beginning on Sunday with Jose Cuervo. Select signature Jose Cuervo cocktails are complimentary to all those of age, but none of those will be shots.

Staff Report The boat ramp at Sand Harbor State Park is opening for the season on Saturday, May 1. Bill Rozak Tahoe Daily Tribune INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park’s Sand Harbor and Cave Rock boat ramps will open for the season on Saturday, May 1. From May 1 to May 27, the Sand Harbor boat ramp will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the Cave Rock boat ramp will be open from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Beginning May 28, boat ramp hours at Sand Harbor and Cave Rock will be extended to 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and remain at these hours until they either close for the season or close due to low water levels.

Mt Rose, Tahoe Meadows area to get trailhead upgrades

Tahoe Daily Tribune INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. Six projects in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest will be funded by the Great American Outdoors Act, including Mount Rose and Tahoe Meadows area improvements. The Forest Service said the projects will improve visitor experience by reducing deferred maintenance backlogs and enhancing aging recreational infrastructure. The service received over $1.5 million for the following projects selected for this first round of funding. The projects include: Mt. Rose and Tahoe Meadows Restroom Reconstruction This project on the Carson Ranger District will replace and repair restrooms and parking facilities at two trailheads located on Nevada State Route 431 (Mount Rose Highway).
