Court denies special food, supplements to Sushil Kumar in jail Court denies special food, supplements to Sushil Kumar in jail NEW DELHI, June 9: Noting that everyone is equal in the eyes of law, a Delhi court on Wednesday dismissed an application filed by Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar, an accused in a murder case, seeking special food and supplements in the prison. Kumar had approached the Rohini court with the demands claiming that they are extremely necessary for him to maintain his health and performance as he wishes to continue his career in wrestling. He sought supplements like isolate whey protein, omega 3 capsules, jointment capsules, pre-workout C4 and hyde, multivitamin GNC and exercise bands in the prison to maintain his physique and physical strength.

Bail for freelance journalist Mandeep Punia arrested at Singhu border   New Delhi: A Delhi court granted bail Tuesday to freelance journalist Mandeep Punia. He was arrested by Delhi Police from the farmers’ protest site at Singhu border. Police had said that Mandeep Punia had assaulted their personnel and had behaved badly. The complainant, victims and witnesses were police personnel only. ‘Hence, there is no possibility that accused/ applicant can able to influence any of the police officials’, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Satvir Singh Lamba said while granting the bail. Punia was arrested by police Sunday in an FIR registered under various sections including 186 (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 332 (Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) of IPC.
