PSU at Big Ten Media Days 10:49 pm Penn State was at Big Ten Media Days on Thursday. Head Coach James Franklin talked about a host of topics, but there is still one big carry over from 2020. That topic would be COVID-19. Despite most Schools across the Country allowing 100% capacity at their Games this Season, the Pandemic is not behind us quite yet, and Head Coach James Franklin is well aware of that. The Nittany Lions were one of the rare Big Ten teams that did not have a game postponed or canceled last Season, but the Pandemic still had a major impact. Nittany Lions Blue and White Spring Game 11:47 pm Penn State held its Annual Blue and White Spring Game this past weekend. There was a lot of excitement brewing about this this event, but it wasn’t exactly what we’ve seen in the past. With a Crowd of 1st Year Students and Family members on hand, the Nittany Lions went through a normal practice with more scrimmage elements than normal. Those who were at Beaver Stadium got to see up close and personal the growth this Team has made since going 4-5 in 2020. There has been a ton of change for the Blue and White since the Regular Season concluded back in December. There have been a slew of new Coaches especially on the Offensive end with Coordinator Mike Yurcich. Head Coach James Franklin says everyone got to see where they’re headed in the future on Saturday. PSU hires new offensive coordinator | News, Sports, Jobs

UNIVERSITY PARK Penn State has a new offensive coordinator another new offensive coordinator. James Franklin announced a coaching staff change with the hiring of Mike Yurcich as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach and the departure of Kirk Ciarrocca. A press release was issued this morning. “First, I would like to thank Kirk for his contributions to our program last year,” said Franklin. “This was a difficult decision, but felt it was best for our program to make a change. We wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors. “We are excited to have Mike join our staff,” continued Franklin. “He is an impressive offensive mind and talented playcaller who has set records everywhere he has been as an offensive coordinator. I look forward to seeing what he can do with all of the offensive weapons we have here at Penn State. I have followed Mike’s career for a long time, dating back to his time in the PSAC at Shippensburg and Edinboro. We look f
