Geoff Fellows climbed Mount Snowdon for his special birthday, raising funds for a defibrillator machine in Penketh, and he donated all his birthday money to the cause. Now, thanks to help from AED Donate and Tesco Bags of Help, a new defibrillator has been installed outside The Manna House on Warrington Road, meaning someone suffering from a cardiac arrest would be able to receive treatment in an emergency.

The Neuro Therapy Centre located in Saltney, helps people with neurological conditions, started offering its Virtual Centre through telephone and online means when it was forced to close due to the pandemic, but quickly turned its services around to continue to offer its life-changing support. Nightingale House to bring meals to your door with new delivery service A new frozen and fresh meal delivery service ‘Meals by Caffi Cwtch’ is being launched by Nightingale House Hospice Unable to open during lockdown due to Covid restrictions, the hospice’s Caffi Cwtch, with the help of volunteers, started delivering freshly made delicious meals locally last year. Their current service ‘Meals Matter’ was such a success that it has now expanded its mouth-watering menu and been given a new name – Meals by Caffi Cwtch. Meals can be collected or delivered and the venture will provide much needed funds for hospice patient care.
