‘I can qualify for the Olympics’ Lloyd Sprint queen Joella Lloyd said she still has her eyes set on qualifying for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She noted that with just a few tweaks here and there, she is confident that she can make the time and become the second athlete from Antigua and Barbuda to qualify for the Olympics. “I would say I would need to improve on my 100m start because my end and the transition is fine but once I can get the start down, I believe I can make the qualifying time,” Lloyd said.

My previous personal time was 11.43 and I was amazed to see it drop by 0.24 seconds. I’ve been putting in a lot of effort in training so it was a relief to see it finally paying off,” Lloyd said.
