CLEMSON, S.C. – Pete Charles signs on as the new Assistant Coach for Clemson Track & Field, announced by Track & Field Director Mark Elliot on Friday. Charles joins the Tigers’ staff from the University of Maryland, where he spent last season. Prior to Maryland, Charles coached for five years at Fairleigh Dickinson University. “I have known coach Pete Charles for quite some time, as an athlete and now as a coach,” said Elliot. “Pete will be a great addition to our program as he has coached at the highest level of our sports. We are happy to have him as a coach, and more specifically as a jumps coach here at Clemson.” “I am grateful to Coach Elliott for this opportunity,” said Charles. “I look forward to working with the student athletes and assist in continuing to help graduate champions.
