DETROIT – Chandra Moore, the man sought by authorities earlier this month for a triple homicide and two attempted murders in Cincinnati died Friday, according to the Detroit Police Department.
Moore, 55, died after being in critical condition following an exchange in gunfire with Detroit officers.

He was shot by Detroit officers on March 1. The shooting happened after Cincinnati police reached out to DPD and let it know that Moore had fled to the city and was at the Rivertown Inn and Suites.

“It’s just very very sad that the world has come to killing our young folks,” said a neighbor wishing not to be named.
“All you can do is pray for the family. It’s heart-wrenching you know,” said nearby resident, Annette Sims.
The grizzly discovery was just before 2 p.m. Wednesday at a house in the 17600 block of Annchester Road, between Evergreen and McNichols roads. Police aren’t releasing much information other than the ages of the two and that they were found with multiple gunshot wounds.

DETROIT – The family of a Puerto Rico native is pleading for answers after he was shot and killed last year.
Joshua Montanez-Rivera was 19 years old when he was killed on Feb. 20, 2020 at 10:12 p.m. The shooting happened near the intersection of Varney and Ackley in Detroit.
Montanez-Rivera is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and arrived to the U.S. only four months before he was killed. He moved to the U.S. to help his sister with her newborn child and save money to have his parents joint them.

DETROIT – A woman’s car was struck by a Detroit fire engine on Feb. 21.
The woman’s sister was sick inside a home on the city’s east side and when Detroit Fire Department Squad Six arrived at the scene, a 26-year-old firefighter behind the wheel of a $500,000 rescue vehicle struck her car.
The Detroit Fire Department is investigating what they’re calling a dinner, but sources are calling it a big party at Engine 50, on Detroit’s east side.
