3 dead after shooting on I-96 in Detroit

State police shut down both the eastbound and westbound express lanes of the freeway for several hours before reopening just before 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said they started receiving reports of two cars shooting at each other on the freeway just after 10 p.m. Monday. A male driver of one of the vehicles was killed.
A female in the vehicle was also shot and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said a suspect from a second vehicle got out of their car and tried to run away but was hit and killed by a driver not involved in the shooting.
Detroit police are searching for a man and vehicle after one person was shot and killed last Friday in the area of W. Seven Mile Road and Santa Rosa Drive.
