No longer an analyst for the UFC, Dan Hardy now hopes to cut professional ties with the promotion entirely.
Hardy’s time as a UFC commentator came to an end this past March, when it was reported that the promotion would no longer be using him in that capacity after he had a “disagreement” with an employee. The one-time welterweight title contender later admitted that he regretted the miscommunication between him and the UFC, though he does not regret his recent public clash with referee Herb Dean.

That message resounded during the Salem Area’s 15th Annual National Day of Prayer Gathering Thursday in the gymnasium of the Salem Memorial Building.
If there was ever a time that the nation needed prayer, that time is now, Rev. Dan Hardy Jr. said, asking the Lord to pour out his love, his life and his liberty upon the United States.
“We need what only He can provide,” Hardy said.
The president of Allegheny Wesleyan College in Salem, Hardy serves on the committee for the event and offered the welcome and opening prayer.
