Trinity s Forget-Me-Not window was a special gift
By Tom Adamich
Recently, I wrote about the beautiful windows at Monroe’s Trinity Episcopal Church that serve as a chronicle of Monroe’s 19th Century and early 20th Century history. I focused on the Narthex, Memorial and most of the nave windows. However, one nave window was not included and deserves a separate article: The Forget-Me-Not window.
According to the Trinity Episcopal Church website, the Forget-Me-Not Window was a gift of Elizabeth Manning Sill and George M. Wright to honor William H. and Mary A. Manning, Edward Manning, Alice Manning, William Manning, Ella M. Wright, Henry Manning, Judge W.D. and Mary Ford, Gertrude DeLand and Charles W. Ford.

Royal Flag Drives Late To Take Shuvee At Saratoga Sponsored by:

Second to Letruska in the 2020 edition, Royal Flag came flying late to take the Grade 3 Shuvee at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The Chad Brown trainee capitalized on a steady early pace, sprinting by Horologist and Crystal Ball in the race s final strides to win by three-quarters of a length.
Breaking from the outside post in a field of seven, Joel Rosario settled Royal Flag at the back of the field around the first turn and into the backstretch as Horologist set early fractions of :23.35 for the first quarter and :47.01 for the half-mile. Trained by Bill Mott, Horologist looked like she might take the field wire to wire as she kept the lead around the final turn into the stretch.

She had them right where she wanted them.
Joel Rosario got her rolling down the middle of the track as the six-horse field for the Grade III Shuvee straightened for home at Saratoga Race Course on Sunday, and Royal Flag blew past Horologist two strides from the wire to win by three-quarters of a length.
With the win, the 5-year-old Royal Flag improved to 5-3-2, never having finished off the board in her career, although she hasn’t raced a lot, either. But when she does, she shows up with a chance every time.
