Vintage house under renovation brings $9.43M on North End, deed shows
The house at 991 N. Lake Way was designed by noted architect John L. Volk and was sold by the Furlo family to a land trust.

An 80-year-old house under renovation on Palm Beach’s North End has changed hands for $9.423 million, the price deed recorded last week with the deed. The property at 991 N. Lake Way found its new owner within a few days after being listed for sale, according to the local multiple listing service.
Christopher Furlo, who has family ties to Palm Beach and Michigan, sold the house as co-trustee of three trusts in his name and the names of his two brothers, Louis J. Furlo Jr. and Paul William Furlo, according to the deed recorded May 6.
KITCHENER Waterloo regional police have charged a driver in a collision involving a police cruiser over the weekend. The crash happened at the intersection of Hespeler Road and Dunbar Road in Cambridge around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. In a news release, officials said a marked police vehicle was travelling westbound on Dunbar Road and responding to a call for service. The cruiser entered the intersection on a red light with its lights and sirens activated. Another vehicle was stopped and proceeded when the light turned green, colliding with the cruiser on the passenger side. Both vehicles had moderate damage from the crash. The drivers sustained minor injuries.

Shedaresthedevil held a one-length advantage over her closest rivals through the first turn, and went through the opening quarter-mile in :23.99 seconds.
