Trinity s Forget-Me-Not window was a special gift

Trinity s Forget-Me-Not window was a special gift By Tom Adamich Recently, I wrote about the beautiful windows at Monroe’s Trinity Episcopal Church that serve as a chronicle of Monroe’s 19th Century and early 20th Century history.  I focused on the Narthex, Memorial and most of the nave windows.  However, one nave window was not included and deserves a separate article: The Forget-Me-Not window. According to the Trinity Episcopal Church website, the Forget-Me-Not Window was a gift of Elizabeth Manning Sill and George M. Wright to honor William H. and Mary A. Manning, Edward Manning, Alice Manning, William Manning, Ella M. Wright, Henry Manning, Judge W.D. and Mary Ford, Gertrude DeLand and Charles W. Ford.

Walk-in vaccination appreciated

Walk-in vaccination appreciated I would like to thank Wayne County and Flat Rock Community Center for opening a walk-in clinic for the COVID-19 vaccine.  My son is a long-distance truck driver and he doesn t know from one week to the next when exactly he will be home. This made it difficult to make an appointment for him to receive the COVID-19 vaccine through the Monroe County Health Department, Meijer or other appointment-only venues. He was able to walk in to the Flat Rock clinic and in no time get his vaccination.  This is very convenient and although it is administered by Wayne County, Monroe County residents are welcome.  Anyone wanting to get the vaccine is able.  The hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Thank you, again.
