South Bend Tribune MISHAWAKA Two men found shot to death Tuesday in a house in the 800 block of Burdette Street died as a result of a murder-suicide, officials said Thursday. A release from the county prosecutor s office said Joseph Banks, 29, died of gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, while Trevor Danneffel, 23, died of a gunshot wound and was determined to have been a suicide. Autopsies were performed Thursday in Kalamazoo. Police were called to the Burdette home about 10:55 p.m. Tuesday after dispatchers received a call saying a person had been shot. Police arriving at the house were unable to make contact at the home, and the SWAT team was called to the scene.
