SOUTH BEND A South Bend woman hasdied from injuries suffered in a weekend shooting and prosecutors have filed a murder charge against her boyfriend.
Macirra Williams, 22, was shot Friday evening in an apartment at the Waterford Glen apartment complex off Edison Road. Williams was taken to Memorial Hospital and underwent emergency surgery, but died as a result of her injuries, according to the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit.
When police responded to the apartment where Macirra Williams was shot, they found her boyfriend, Demarice Williams, 24, and the couple s children.
Demarice Williams was charged Tuesday with murder. He was ordered held without bond until his initial hearing Wednesday. He remains in the custody of the St. Joseph County Jail.
