(Jed Carlson / jcarlson@superiortelegram.com) On Tuesday, Jan. 26, I took a quick drive down to Barker s Island in Superior at least it was supposed to be quick. My thought was to look for any prep work for the upcoming Lake Superior Ice Festival or even someone ice fishing. But as I was turning around in the Barkers Island Inn parking lot, I noticed two somethings running across the frozen Superior Bay. At first I thought a couple dogs got loose, but soon realized it was a pair of foxes.
