Christian Velasquez Tamariz went to be with His Lord and Savior Thursday, April 22, 2021.
He loved Alabama football, soccer, wrestling, and video games. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Christian’s funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, Alabama with a Visitation 1-2 PM and the Chapel Service at 2 PM. There will be no burial to follow.

Roy E Thompson Sr, 85, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away unexpectedly at Fort Walton Beach Rehab Facility on Feb. 21, 2021. Roy was born on Jan. 27, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama to Thomas Edward Thompson and Mildred Ethel Vester.
He was the second of four children with an older sister, Joyce Israel who proceeded him in death, and two younger brothers, Jack Thompson of Pelham, Alabama and Russell Thompson who also proceeded him in death.
Roy grew up and attended school in Birmingham where he excelled in sports. After high school, Roy worked briefly at the Birmingham News until he joined the Air Force in 1954. He was stationed in Georgia, South Carolina and spent a year in Japan before he left the military in 1957.

TRUSSVILLE The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce announces Toast of Trussville, a virtual awards celebration, on Feb. 18, 2021. An online program produced by The Trussville Tribune and accessible on its Facebook page will begin at 6 p.m.
For a donation of $50 or more to the chamber, donors can take home a celebration box containing a beverage, charcuterie from Meals by Misty, a special celebration gift sponsored by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, and a packet of items designed to give the COVID-safe evening a festive touch.
Boxes will be available for pickup the afternoon of the party, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
