Dymir Washington, 24, of Camden, has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder and second-degree eluding Law enforcement, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. On Oct. 4, 2020, police responded to the 1800 block of Mulford St. for a ShotSpotter activation. They found a woman shot inside a vehicle. The victim, identified as Sheila Baskin, 74, of Camden, was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead from her injuries, authorities said.

Authorities say a 17-year-old from Salem County has now been charged as an adult in connection to the June 25th homicide of a homeless man in Camden. According to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, 17-year-old Tresjure Knight of Pennsville is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree conspiring to commit aggravated assault, and one count of second-degree desecration of human remains. Mayer s office says police responded to the 1100 block of Kaighn Avenue in Camden shortly after midnight on June 25th for the report of an unresponsive man in an alleyway. When they arrived, they found 63-year-old Bobby J. Hill, Jr., of Camden, suffering from multiple injuries to his head.

Officers arrived found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead shortly after he was taken to a hospital. The man was later identified as Alex Fernandez of Philadelphia, according to Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. Detectives are investigating the killing of a 28-year-old Camden County man, authorities said. Santino Thomas of Sicklerville was shot dead on Thursday night, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. Police officers responded to the 1300 block of Browning St. in Camden for a ShotSpotter activation around 9 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground between two cars suffering from a gunshot wound, Mayer and Rodriguez said. Thomas was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m., they said. Detectives are currently working to identify any potential witnesses and searching for evidence that could help determine what led up to the shooting, the prosecutor said.
