They have been divided into 3 groups. The first group, Group 1 is to open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while Group 2 would only reopen on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Group 3 would be opened from Mon to Saturday. Sundays would observe complete lockdown from Saturday 8 pm thru Sunday till Monday 6 am in Jammu and Kashmir. STF to scan Govt employees for anti-national activities STF to scan Govt employees for anti-national activities Jammu Tawi, April 21: Government has constituted Special Task Force (STF) for identifying and scrutinizing the government employees who are involved in any cases related to posing threat to the country’s security or anti-national activities. The order issued by GAD reads that sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Special Task Force, comprising the following, for identifying and scrutinizing cases of government employees, to initiate the process under Government Order No. 738-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 30.07.2020, for action in terms of provisions of Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India:

Situation grim in J&K, infection rate higher this year

Northlines 28 cases of new variant in Jammu Jammu Tawi, Apr 21: Jammu and Kashmir Administration Wednesday said that Covid graph is rising in the Union Territory and the situation is “challenging” as the rate of growth in positive cases is 8. 12 percent which is more than what it was last year. Addressing a joint press conference in Jammu, Financial Commissioner Health Atal Duloo said that Covid situation in J&K is challenging as the graph of positive cases is rising rapidly. “At present we have 13400 active cases. Last year we had 22000 positive cases at a peak. In April this year, there were 77 deaths. Growth rate in cases is 8.12 per cent. Mortality rate is 1.38 per cent in J&K. Situation is challenging if we compare it with last year’s April figures,” Duloo said. He was flanked by Principal Secretary to the government and government spokesman Rohit Kansal.

Defence ministry wants delinking of Army project from PMDP

Northlines Shifting of transit camp in Kashmir Jammu Tawi, Apr 21: The Defence Ministry is understood to be in favour of delinking the project of relocation of its transit camp in Kashmir Valley from the Prime Minister’s Development Project (PMDP) for Jammu & Kashmir. Documents in our possession reveal that the Ministry of Defence (MOD) is of the view that relocation of the transit camp in Srinagar should be delinked from the PMDP. “The project is funded exclusively out of the Army Budget, the MoD is of the view to delink it from the PMDP,” reads the status report of the projects funded under the PMDP.
