Oxygen, medicine, beds, available in sufficient quantity: Advisor
Jammu Tawi, Apr 19: With daily spurt in COVID cases in Jammu and Kashmir, the administration Monday claimed that the COVID-19 the situation is under control and all the requirements including oxygen, medicines beds and other parameters are available in sufficient quantity.
There is a steep rise in COVID-19 cases across the parts of India including Jammu and Kashmir with the resurgence having more infection potential forcing authorities to order the closure of educational institutions and place required restrictions to contain the spread.
Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar said that the administration is responding to all the requirements including the medicines and oxygen.

IFA, Revenue laws empower DCs, DFOs to decide on such matters
Jammu Tawi, Apr 19: Nearly seven months after setting-up a high-level committee to decide on complaints about the encroachment of forestland in Jammu & Kashmir, the administration of the Union Territory has now constituted the district-level committees to hear such complaints in a time-bound manner.
According to an order, the sub-committees headed by the respective deputy commissioners would address these complaints in a time-bound manner.
The committees would also comprise of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Divisional Forest Officer, Territorial Headquarter, Divisional Forest Officer concerned and Tehsildar concerned.
The committees would provide regular hearing to the parties to address the complaints in a time-bound manner.

‘Younger people getting infected worrying’
Jammu Tawi, Apr 19: The Covid-19 resurgence wave is very steep, and if the callous attitude of people’s continues lockdown is the only option to control the pandemic, experts said on Monday.
Dr Mohammad Sultan Khuroo said that in the second-wave there are several things that have taken us by great surprise.
“The wave is extraordinary steep and it shows something has happened,” Khuroo said.
Khuroo said that the very callous attitude of people towards the pandemic, political and religious activities and the presence of mutant variants are the possible reasons behind the resurgence.
