80 pairs of stolen jeans worth thousands found in retail theft bust, Vacaville police say

VACAVILLE, Calif. Two women are accused of stealing thousands of dollars of Target and True Religion merchandise that included clothes and baby formula, according to the Vacaville Police Department s Facebook post.
Vacaville police said they arrested Coreneshia Brooks, 25, and Jazell Young, 25, after finding 80 pairs of stolen jeans, 43 of which were from Levi s and 37 of which were from True Religion. Police said the True Religion jeans alone retailed for over $8,700. They also found stolen baby formula, children s clothing and over-the-counter medicine that totaled over $4,500.

On the day jurors were expected to fill out questionnaires for his trial, Sean Matthew Walker, charged with the Aug. 10, 2018 vehicular manslaughter deaths of California Highway Patrol Officer Kirk Griess of Vacaville and Jaime Bueza Manuel, a Philippines national, has agreed to plead guilty to two counts of negligent vehicular homicide, a misdemeanor.
The Solano County District Attorney’s office has agreed to the deal, as court records on Tuesday show that Walker will be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13 in Department 7 in the Justice Building in Vallejo.

The first stage of jury selection will begin early next week in the case of a 39-year-old Rocklin man charged with the 2018 vehicular manslaughter deaths of a California Highway Patrol officer and a Philippines national while the two men were stopped near an Interstate 80 exit in Fairfield.
Sean Matthew Walker, who appeared Wednesday and Thursday in Department 7 for a management conference and a pretrial motion, will face prospective jurors at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Judge Tim Kam’s courtroom in the Justice Building in Vallejo.
