ISLAMABAD: An accountability court here on Thursday commenced proceedings on an application filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking auction of the properties of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Accountability Judge Syed Asghar Ali said the court would proceed on the application to dispose of the unclaimed properties of Mr Sharif.
The application was filed by NAB Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Khan Abbasi.
Referring to the accountability court’s order in which Mr Sharif has been declared a proclaimed offender in Toshakhana reference, Mr Abbasi stated that despite a lapse of six months, the former premier did not surrender before the court.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Dr Arif Alvi on Monday has met newly-elected Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament, Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani.
During the meeting, the president has felicitated Sanjrani over re-electing as the chairman of Senate and appreciated his services.
Earlier on March 12, 2021, Balochistan Senator Sanjrani had secured 48 votes out of a total of 98 cast for the seat of Chairman Senate, defeating the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) – an 11-party opposition alliance – Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani who received only 42 votes, while eight votes were rejected.
