Organisers of the drive-thru Santa’s grotto that sparked complaints from visitors are being threatened with legal action over its name.
Campaign group We Make Events has moved to distance itself from the beleaguered festive event in the grounds of Taverham Hall, just outside Norwich.
The attraction, which opened on Friday night promising a socially distanced way to see Santa, has been subject to a barrage of complaints.
It was branded ‘shambolic’ by some visitors who faced hours in queuing traffic and were unhappy about the quality of the experience.
The attraction was billed as having been organised “on behalf of We Make Events”.

Ms Murley-Lown said: It is the worst event i ve been to, after waiting 1.5 hours to get in we were looking forward to the magical experience you wonderfully advertised. Well it was nothing like you advertised and I was left gobsmacked and angry when Scrooge decided to tell my four-year-old that Santa won t be delivering any presents to any child this year as he had smashed up his sleigh. He didn t even do this in a joking manner. (.) She was petrified. What a shambles.
The mother told the MailOnline: A couple of actors were chained to trees staring at cars, a ghost just walked past the car staring. By this point we did our windows up so nobody could speak to her any more.
Creepy drive-through grotto an absolute fiasco

Families have demanded refunds from a shambolic drive-through Santa s grotto after queuing for hours.
It opened on Friday night and promised a 1km (0.6 mile) sparkling light trail through the grounds of Taverham Hall, near Norwich.
The event s Facebook page was later flooded with complaints about traffic chaos, creepy performers who scared children, and Poundland gifts. It was an absolute fiasco from start to finish, said visitor Louise Purdy.
Organiser We Make Events has been approached for comment.
People commenting on social media said they queued for up to three hours in rush-hour traffic, having bought tickets for a time slot.
