The new president of Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital started in the role Tuesday, which included visiting each unit of the Canton hospital and meeting employees. There s a very positive energy here. There s a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. It s just been fantastic so far, he said. Honestly, it was a fun day. It was a really fun day yesterday. The former Mercy Medical Center officially became part of the Cleveland Clinic health system Monday after more than a century as a Sisters of Charity hospital. The hospital will maintain its Catholic identity through sponsorship by the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine.
