Dhaka, May 5 (IANS): Joint Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan police, Mahbubur Rahman on Wednesday said that the Hefazat militants have confessed to creating a Taliban state in Bangladesh, as similar to Afghanistan.
Rahman told IANS:, The militants have said that several Jamaat-e-Islam and Hefazat leaders are linked to the militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Besides, the police have also collected various evidences in connection with the matter. Mamunul Huq and Harun Izhar, the Islamist radicals led the massacre and anarchy to oust the government headed by Sheikh Hasina, mostly funded by the militant outfit of Pakistan.
Two Neo-JMB members arrested in Dhaka

Dhaka, May 5 (IANS): The Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested two suspected militants of the banned extremist outfit ‘Neo-JMB from the Matuail area in Dhaka.
The duo had reportedly gathered at Matuail to plan sabotage in Dhaka city, members of the CTTC said.
The accused persons used to communicate online with the members of Neo JMB at various levels, including its top leaders.
One of the arrested persons has been identified as Sakib Ahmed Chowdhury alias Jaki, while the identity of the second accused has not been disclosed yet.
