Jordan Cox takes maiden TCR Australia race win amid drama in Tasmania

Jordan Cox has broken through for his first TCR Australia race win after threatening to do so in yesterday’s opening race of the season, taking his Garry Rogers Motorsport prepared Alfa Romeo Qiulietta QV TCR to the top step of the podium.
The former Improved Production star broke the TCR lap record at Symmons Plains multiple times en route to taking his third podium finish in the category, standing on top of the dais for the first time in his relatively short career in the category.

Former Supercars Championship driver Lee Holdsworth got his first taste of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR that he is going to drive in the 2021 TCR Australia series season for Ash Seward Motorsport.
“The Alfa is really fun. I’m having a ball inside the car while I get my head around it,” said Holdsworth.
“The Alfa has amazing braking capabilities. It’s good fun with the paddle shift too, so I’m really enjoying it and becoming to get more comfortable, despite the weather.”
Holdsworth made his full-time Supercars debut in 2006 and has raced there since, describing the difference between a Supercar and TCR car as “significant”.
Lee Holdsworth completes TCR Australia switch

Lee Holdsworth will switch to the TCR Australia series for the 2021 season after agreeing a deal to join Ashley Seward Motorsport.
The 37-year-old lost his drive with Tickford Racing for the upcoming Supercars campaign after the Ford squad took the decision to downsize from four cars to three – leaving the series veteran without a full-time ride for the season ahead.
Holdsworth however has now concluded a deal to race the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce that was driven by James Allen at The Bend last season as team-mate to teenager Jay Hanson, with the deal seeing him go up against a number of former Supercars rival – including 2009 Bathurst co-driver Michael Caruso.
