Josh Buchan takes maiden TCR Australia win in Sydney

TCR Australia rookie Josh Buchan has taken his first race win in the category after controlling the first race at Sydney Motorsport Park, taking the HMO Customer Racing outfit back to the top step of the podium.
Buchan was slated to start second but was the benefactor of an issue for the pole-sitting car of Dylan O’Keeffe, having to still put up a fight against those behind him on the grid on the opening lap and later taking the lead back with one of the passes of the year, around the outside into the Turn 1 sweeper.

Jordan Cox takes maiden TCR Australia race win amid drama in Tasmania

Jordan Cox has broken through for his first TCR Australia race win after threatening to do so in yesterday’s opening race of the season, taking his Garry Rogers Motorsport prepared Alfa Romeo Qiulietta QV TCR to the top step of the podium.
The former Improved Production star broke the TCR lap record at Symmons Plains multiple times en route to taking his third podium finish in the category, standing on top of the dais for the first time in his relatively short career in the category.
Time certain series opener sees Lee Holdsworth win on TCR Australia debut

Lee Holdsworth has converted his first TCR Australia pole position to race victory in the first race of the 2021 racing season, holding off Jordan Cox to take first blood in his series campaign.
The ex-Supercars driver put in a near perfect drive despite losing the lead at the race start to convert a pole in qualifying to beat some of the established names in TCR Australia competition.
His win aboard the Ash Seward Motorsport Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV TCR marks the first win for a driver in the series since the end of 2019 given the series didn’t run in 2020 thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lee Holdsworth tops Symmons Plains practice as Alfa Romeo dominate

Lee Holdsworth was fastest in both practice sessions of the TCR Australia series season opener at Symmons Plains, with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCRs locking out the top positions.
“The car came out pretty good out of the box,” said Holdsworth.
“The times are really close, so I imagine qualifying’s going to be really tough.”
The Ashley Seward Motorsport driver lapped the circuit in 55.7559 and was 0.1444 seconds ahead of Garry Rogers Motorsport driver Jordan Cox.
Jay Hanson, team-mate to Holdsworth was third fastest and Michael Caruso, GRM team-mate to Cox, was fourth, making it an Alfa Romeo 1-2-3-4.
