Date Time Woman seriously injured after car and pedestrian crash – Caringbah South An investigation is underway after a woman was struck by a vehicle in Sydney’s south today. About 12.40am (Sunday 2 May 2021), emergency services were called to Ash Avenue, Caringbah South, after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and found a woman – believed to be in her late 20s – trapped beneath a white Toyota hatchback. Fire and Rescue NSW, with the assistance of NSW Ambulance paramedics, eventually freed the woman about 2am. She was taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition with significant leg and arm injuries.

During an April 21 board meeting, FCI Constructors Inc, hired by Grand River Health to construct the new Grand River Care Center, notified the city that construction won’t be finished until August. Hospital Hill Road, which extends from Ash Avenue to U.S. Highway 6 at the south of the facility, was closed to traffic in 2018 when the project broke ground. Hospital Hill Road would be realigned, and the city contributed $250,000 to the roadway.
