Crime and fire report: 1 arrested in Wednesday night pursuit; delivered packages stolen from residence
Becker County Sheriff s Office deputies engaged in a pursuit of a suspect who refused to pullover. Detroit Lakes police officers assisted in the pursuit. One arrest was made in the incident and the case is pending formal charges.

At 9:47 a.m., on the 100 block of Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, a possible theft of prescription drugs was reported.

Four men aged 25, 26, 33 and 24 have been arrested on suspicion of assault in relation to this incident. They have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
DC Steve Wood, from Blackpool Police, said: This was an appalling attack in broad daylight on a street where families and children live.
“ We have been on with a number of enquiries since the incident and are now at the stage where we are asking the public for their help in identifying the people pictured on CCTV. If you recognise the clothing or these people look potentially like someone you know, please make contact with us.
Firefighters responded to one call at a residence and the other at a business.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two calls Monday, Dec. 21
one in Brainerd and the other in Baxter.
Firefighters were called to a fire alarm at 6:58 p.m. at Mills Ford, 14858 Dellwood Drive, which was determined to be unfounded. Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 8:12 p.m. at a residence on the 1800 block of Graydon Avenue, which also was determined to be unfounded.
Man hit over head with crowbar and battered with rake in appalling day time attack A man was hit over the head with a crowbar and attacked with a rake as a gang of men jumped him from behind. Police now want to identify the people in the CCTV images following the incident, which happened at the beginning of last month. On Sunday November 1 at around 3pm a group of around five or six men have grabbed the victim, 29, from behind, on Ash Avenue in Kirkham. They struck him with a rake and hit him to the head with a crowbar.
VANCOUVER Police are trying to identify five people believed to be responsible for stealing a Christmas tree from the University of British Columbia campus earlier this month. The tree was snatched from the lobby of a building on Gray Avenue, where it had been decorated to bring joy to the residents during these challenging times, according to a news release from the University RCMP detachment. Video captured a group of men putting the tree into an Evo vehicle on Dec. 2, then leaving the area. Weeks later, authorities said it s still unclear who stole the tree, which was never returned.
