San Angelo Man Indicted for Meth Possession
SAN ANGELO,TX – Juan Ramirez, 29, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in February for possession of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, November 10th, 2020, a San Angelo Police Officer was informed about Ramirez living at a residence on Parsons Street and had active warrants for his arrest. Ramirez was seen getting into the passenger seat of a vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated at the 500 block of Rio Concho Drive.
The officer instructed Ramirez to step out of the vehicle. As he did, a black pouch and a meth pipe fell to the ground.
Investigators say the shooting happened Thursday night during a drug deal, according to an arrest affidavit.
On Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, police arrived at an apartment complex in the 3300 block of North Bryant Boulevard where they found the body of Rey Robles, who died from trauma believed to be the result of being shot with a firearm, according to an arrest affidavit.
Justice of the Peace Susan Werner declared Robles deceased and ordered an autopsy.
Police say verbal altercation during drug deal led to fatal shooting
People who were in the apartment during the shooting told police Robles arrived at the apartment to buy marijuana, and while there, asked the marijuana be weighed before purchasing it, according to arrest affidavits.
21-Year-Old Jailed in Tom Green County for Murder
SAN ANGELO, TX – A 21-year-old San Angelo man was arrested for murder Thursday night by the San Angelo Police Department.
According to the Tom Green County Detention Facilities Inmate Roster, on Feb. 25, at 10:55 p.m., Mauricio Portillo, 21, was booked into the TGCDF for Murder, a Judgment Nisi on an Assault that Caused Bodily Injury to a Family Member charge, and one miscellaneous Capias Pro Fine.
Portillo was arrested in July 2020 for the assault against a family member.
Both times Portillo was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department.
