Jon Wick, co-owner of 5518 Designs, is feeling somewhat thankful.
His business is on an uphill slant, hence no water damage from the fire. But if youâre talking smoke, well thatâs a different story.
Wick said plenty of smoke seeped into his business, and he was totally out of his element on what to do. A call to Fine Fabric Care, a cleaning and restoration service in Butte, got the ball rolling.
âThey were super responsive and quickly came up with the right solution,â explained Wick, âand it worked.â
Because it was Motherâs Day weekend, he figures the fire cost his business around $10,000 in lost weekend revenue. After having everything deep cleaned throughout the building, the Wicks were able to reopen on May 11.

China s concened over losing political clout in Dhaka

Beijing [China], May 24 (ANI): China s warning of substantial damage to bilateral ties with Bangladesh if the latter joined the Quad alliance emanates from a fear of Beijing losing another ally, which forms a critical part of the country s strategic focus on South Asia.
Earlier this month, Beijing s envoy in Dhaka, Li Jiming, said the countries relationship would suffer substantial damage if Bangladesh were to join the alliance alongside India, Japan, US and Australia.
China is increasingly concerned over the expansion of the grouping since officials from the US, India and Japan expressed an interest in including more like-minded democracies, such as Sri Lanka, South Korea and New Zealand, to counter China s growing power in the region.
