Technical Discussion: Heating up again today! 90 degrees is expected

Technical Discussion: Heating up on Sunday!

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT… Clouds will dissipate overnight. We’ll see some lingering cloud cover by the shoreline, otherwise, you’ll be able to see the stars. The humidity will make the overnight hours relatively warm. The sun will be out as we start Sunday. THE WEEKEND… Thanks to the long end-of-May days, we’ll have lots of time to boost temperatures into the 80s or possibly 90s! It will feel noticeably warmer until the evening front arrives. A backdoor cold front will move southward across New England on Sunday, and it will reach Connecticut by late afternoon.  The front will stir up a few thunderstorms during the afternoon, but they’ll be hit-or-miss, and not every town will get one.  The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Northern and Western Connecticut in a “marginal” risk area for damaging winds.  However, any strong storms that do develop will be isolated.  Before the front arrives, temperatures will soar to near 90
