KILLINGLY A driver was flown to the hospital with injuries and hypothermia after his car plummeted 25 feet off the road and into the File Mile River over the weekend, officials said.

KILLINGLY A Plainfield man is in the hospital after crashing his vehicle off the road and plummeting into the Five Mile River, police say.
Connecticut State Police said a car driven by Mohammed Elkennaw, 86, was traveling north on Main Street and rounding a corner when it crossed over the right shoulder, jumped a curb and traveled off the roadway. Police said the call came in just before 11:20 a.m. Saturday.
