Two credit card skimmers were recently discovered at a Stripes Convenience Store at 801 N. Key Ave. in Lampasas.
Employees found them while checking the pumps, according to a news release Friday from the Lampasas Police Department.
It is unknown for how long the skimmers had been on the pumps, and they have since been removed by an officer with the department, the release said.
The department recommends that anyone who has fueled up at that Stripes location should check their bank and credit card statements.
The department also recommends purchasing fuel inside the store.
Anyone who has been a victim of the skimmers should contact the Lampasas Police Department at 512-556-3644.

BREAKING: Police Investigating Brutal Violent Stabbing in West San Angelo
SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Police are investigating a stabbing Monday at the Stripes Convenience store on Glenna at Houston Harte.
According to San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Tina Burks, on June 21, 2021, an altercation occurred at the 400 bock of E. Harris between 20-year-old Jerry Gonzales and his ex-girlfriend. She was driven away from that location by a friend in attempt to get away from the suspect. Gonzales followed them to the Stripes on Glenna, where the stabbing occurred.
At 9:09 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the Stripes located at 901 Glenna in reference to a stabbing that had just occurred. A 31-year-old male had been stabbed multiple times by the suspect. On Jan. 26, 2020, Arambula and his girlfriend at the time, Veronica Gonzales, went to the Stripes Convenience Store to buy some food and beer. Other people in the store lined before the register, where the clerk checked people out minutes before midnight.
Jasmine Sanchez, Marco Portillo Jr. and Talton left an apartment and went to the store to get drinks. The men entered the store while Sanchez stayed in the car.
One woman, who approached police on Tuesday and testified Friday morning, was at the store with her 14-year-old daughter. They went to the store so the woman could buy cigarettes.
