Ford s son went downstairs to try to sleep, then heard three gunshots from upstairs and his mother cry for help. When he went to investigate, Scott pointed a gun at his chest and told him, I don t want to do this to you. Go downstairs, the complaint says. Scott was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and second-degree recklessly endangering safety in connection with the incident.  His trial has been delayed multiple times, most recently when prosecutors turned over additional evidence forensic downloads of phones four days before the case was to go to trial in September, pushing the trial to April.
