Noel Gallagher is the official ambassador for this year s Record Store Day.
The former Oasis guitarist follows in the footsteps of Slaves, Anton Newcombe of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Kate Tempest, Kate Nash, Izzy Bizu, Rag n Bone Man, the Mighty Boosh, and The Big Moon, who championed the event in 2020.
This year s Record Store Day event is set to take place across June 12 and July 17. Head here for a list of the exclusive titles. Gallagher said: Record shops were really important when I was growing up. It’s something that’s in my DNA. I think if we can keep record shops open for as long as possible, we owe it to the young people of this country. For this year’s Record Store Day I’ll be getting involved. I’ve got something unique coming out. Hopefully the fans will like it and they ll keep the flame burning for your local record shop.

BANK OF IRELAND has announced plans to recruit 130 technology professionals.
The new roles will include technical architects, software developers, engineers, specialised project managers, scrum masters and data analysts.
Of the 130 roles being announced, 30 are at an advanced recruitment stage and 100 are currently advertised or will be advertised with the expectation the roles will be hired over the next 12 months.

The Labour Party have drawn up legislation that would force pension providers to be more transparent about charges
A report on pensions has found that fees and charges are so high that over time they are wiping out the tax relief given to pension savers by the State.
The findings have led the Labour Party to draw up legislation that would force pension providers to be more transparent about charges.
Labour finance spokesman Ged Nash said the findings of the report are consistent with research from the OECD.
This stated that every 0.25% in pension fees leads to a 4% to 5% decrease in a person s pension pot at retirement.
