Noel Gallagher Announced As Ambassador For Record Store Day Wednesday, 05 May 2021
Noel Gallagher is the official ambassador for this year s Record Store Day.
The former Oasis guitarist follows in the footsteps of Slaves, Anton Newcombe of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Kate Tempest, Kate Nash, Izzy Bizu, Rag n Bone Man, the Mighty Boosh, and The Big Moon, who championed the event in 2020.
This year s Record Store Day event is set to take place across June 12 and July 17. Head here for a list of the exclusive titles. Gallagher said: Record shops were really important when I was growing up. It’s something that’s in my DNA. I think if we can keep record shops open for as long as possible, we owe it to the young people of this country. For this year’s Record Store Day I’ll be getting involved. I’ve got something unique coming out. Hopefully the fans will like it and they ll keep the flame burning for your local record shop.

Music means a lot to many people, and since the pandemic lots of us want to help in any way that they can.
Every year, Record Store Day celebrates indie record shops, and many famous musicians have taken up an ambassador role.
This year that title has gone to none other than Noel Gallagher.
He s previously released five Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds Record Store Day releases. These records have been some of the event s best-selling vinyl.
Noel says:
