Noah Centineo to bring Gamestop stock saga to Netflix

According to a report by
Deadline, the
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before actor is gearing up with Netflix for a film about the stock saga.
The film about the battle between hedge fund investors and Reddit traders is already in the early stages.
Mark Boal, Academy Award winning writer is in talks to pen the script, leading many into already speculating the untitled project may create Oscar buzz once it hits the streaming giant.
Apart from that, Makeready founder Brad Weston is all set to produce the film.

Zero Dark Thirty. Also attached to the project is Noah Centineo. The 24-year-old actor has starred in
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and
T
he Diary. Centineo also has a lead role in the upcoming
Black Adam movie, where he’s set to play Atom Smasher. The film will be produced by Makeready CEO Brad Weston, along with Nick Styne of Definition Entertainment, and Mark Sourian.
Much like the movie set to be made by MGM though, it’s not clear where this story will begin and end. Wall Street Bets is still targeting stocks in GameStop, with multiple calls to “hold the line” coming from both Reddit and Twitter. Even the Wolf of Wall Street himself, Jordan Belfort, is taking to social media to tell fellow investors to hold their shares in GameStop.

TV show: Limited series in the works from industry newcomers
It does not stop there, however, as there could also be a GameStop television series vying for your attention.

Deadline, the production company Pinky Promise is set to develop a limited series with the working title
To The Moon, which tackles the r/WallStreetBets story. According to the publication, industry newcomers Pinky Promise have met with several top members of the Reddit group, hedge funds and other trading insiders.

Washington [US], February 2 (ANI): The stock market drama surrounding the American electronics retail company GameStop is getting the Hollywood treatment, with actor Noah Centineo all set to star in the upcoming film.
As per Variety, Netflix is in the early stages of making a film revolving around the still-unfolding social-media-driven financial scenario. The script is being written by Oscar-winner Mark Boal, who is widely known for The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty .
Centineo, known for his breakout roles in To All the Boys I ve Loved Before and The Fosters , is set to appear in a major role in the untitled film. Pivot host, tech expert, and NYU professor Scott Galloway will consult on the upcoming project.
