A student at W.C. Friday School near Dallas brought a gun to school Tuesday, according to a letter shared with parents. Unfortunately, we had a student bring a gun on campus. When we were informed that the student had a weapon, we immediately involved our school resource officer, began investigating the incident, and contacted the student’s parents, Gaston County Schools wrote in a statement.
It is important to note that we did not experience any problems as a result of this incident; however, we realize that something like this can be upsetting for students, parents, and staff.
Police responded to the school at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a person with a weapon, according to Gaston County Communications.

GASTONIA, N.C. (WBTV) - A 38-year-old woman is missing in Gastonia and police are asking for help finding her.
Cherie Shavon Ingram went missing on March 27. She was last seen on S. South Street in Gastonia, according to officials.
Ingram is described as being 5′4″ and 145 pounds.
Anyone with information on Ingram’s whereabouts is asked to call the Gastonia Police Department at 704-866-6702 or Gaston County Communications at 704-866-3300.
