In-Charge Investigation appointed at all police stations of Islamabad Islamabad, January 27, 2021 (PPI-OT): Islamabad police have appointed In-Charge Investigation at all police stations of the city to ensure speedy probe into crime cases and provide justice to people at their door steps. Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar has appointed the well reputed investigation officers of Homicide Unit at all police stations of Islamabad. The purpose of these appointments is to ensure speedy investigation of cases, immediate submission of complete challans into courts after thorough probe and provide justice to people at their door steps.

11-years old boy reunited with parents Islamabad, January 25, 2021 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Shams Colony police on Monday reunited 11-year old missing boy with his family, a police spokesman said. According to details, a woman informed Shams Colony police that his 11-year old son Masab Bin Umair had been missing and could not be traced despite hectic efforts by family members. Following this information, SP (Industrial-Area) Liaqat Hayat Niazi constituted a special team under supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan to trace the missing boy. This team including SHO Shams Colony police station Aamir Abbas searched various under-construction buildings, houses and garbage heaps.

Welfare of policemen on top priority: IGP Islamabad Islamabad, January 25, 2021 (PPI-OT): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman has said that police officials and jawans are assets of Islamabad police force and welfare steps would be ensured for them and their families. After assuming charge as head of Islamabad police, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman has initiated various steps for welfare of policemen. The ambulance has been provided at police dispensary while doctor has been also appointed there. Free life saving medicines are also being provided to policemen free of cost. A separate counter has been established to facilitate the families of martyred personnel while a special committee has been constituted for timely payment of pension and arrears to retired policemen.

Accountability to continue in police: DIG

Islamabad January 23, 2021 Islamabad:The Islamabad police would continue accountability process to improve functioning of department and bringing transparency in policing affairs. DIG (Headquarters) Islamabad Muhammad Salaeem said during weekly Ardal Room held on Friday for police officials as well jawans. The DIG reviewed the appeals of policeman and disciplinary action against them. After listening to the policemen, he pardoned punishments of three cops while appeals of 13 personnel was rejected. The transfers of 33 policeman were made as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The DIG headquarters and other senior police officials hold weekly Ardal Room to resolve the issues of personnel following the directions of Inspector General of police (IGP) Qazi Jamil ur Rehman.

Policing can be improved through friendly culture: IGP

Islamabad January 23, 2021 Islamabad:Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Qazi Jamil ur Rehman Friday expressed his commitment to improve the typical policing culture by ensuring policy of merit and introducing friendly police ecology in the city. Speaking here at Police Darbar, he said that `Thana Culture’ in Islamabad would be changed and Station House Officers and Muharrars at police stations would be appointed through tests and interviews. The IGP said that public issues would be automatically resolved at the level of police stations through appointments on merit. He said that today’s Darbar is dedicated to martyrs of Islamabad police, their children, widows, mothers and sisters. “The martyrs of Islamabad police sacrificed their lives for the country and nation and they would be remembered forever,” the IGP maintained.
