IGP visits CTD

Islamabad:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Thursday visited the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Islamabad police and appreciated its overall performance.
He said that CTD has the eligibility to curb activities of anti-social elements and Islamabad police is proud of it. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (Operations), Assistant Inspector General (AIG) (Establishment), AIG (Operations), AIG (General), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)(Headquarters), SSP (CTD), Director Safe City and Superintendent of Police (CTD) also accompanied him during this visit. SSP (CTD) briefed the IGP about the performance of the department.

Islamabad:The Islamabad Police on Wednesday issued its fortnight performance report with an objective to inform people about policing efforts to ensure the protection of their lives and property.
The report was formally launched by the Director Public Relations Islamabad Police, Syed Bilal during an interaction with media here at Rescue 15 which included policing measures and reforms taken following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman to resolve citizens’ complaints and bridge the gap between police and public.
After assuming the charge on January 8, 2021, as Inspector General of Police, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman directed for several measures to ensure effective policing. The main objectives of these reforms and measures are to present Islamabad police for accountability, resolve public complaints, highlight policing efforts for friendly police ecology along with its success story.
IGP directs for safe road environment in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Monday directed Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to prove itself before other forces as the most capable force through hard work and ensure courteous attitude with road users.
Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman paid visit to Islamabad Trfaffic Police. He visited various branches and inspected the one window driving license system, traffic help line-1915 and other departments of ITP.
SSP (Traffic) Farrukh Rasheed briefed the IGP on the working of ITP. The IGP Islamabad while appreciating the services being rendered by ITP, directed to keep up the morale of the personnel. The IGP emphasised the team work for the safety of citizens and hoped that ITP will also prove itself as friendly police and emerge as role model for other police departments.
IGP lays wreath at martyrs monument

Islamabad: Inspector General of Islamabad Police Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Monday laid wreath at National Police Martyrs’ Monument and lauded the services of those who sacrifices their lives to protect future of the next generation.
On his arrival at Police Line Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Islamabad police presented him guard of honor.DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, DIG (Headquarters) and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
The IGP also offered ‘Fateha’ for the martyrs of Islamabad police and also wrote his views in visitors’ books placed there.The newly appointed chief of Islamabad police said that police in the national capital like their compatriots elsewhere in the country have added a golden chapter in the history, written with blood of their martyrs.
Effective policing measures ordered

Islamabad : The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Saturday ordered elaborate and effective policing measures to eradicate crime from the city and ensure justice to people at their door steps.
In his maiden meeting to review crime situation, the IGP directed to enhance police patrolling and deployment in those areas where crime rate is comparatively high. He asked to compile fresh list of proclaimed offenders and absconders wanted to police in various crime cases.
The meeting was attended among others by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, SSP (CTD), Additional SP and Zonal SPs. DIG (Operations) told that most of the criminals wanted to police in heinous crime have been arrested while the Zonal SPs briefed the participants of the meeting about efforts to curb crime in the city.
